Templates help the user fill out fields with pre-made templates. Templates can only be created by a Administrator. The template can contain text of any length without paragraphs and drop-down lists.
Blocks that use templates have a Plus icon with the Add Template tooltip. Clicking on the plus icon opens a list of templates. The user can also write arbitrary text and make any changes in the added template.
If you are an administrator, then in the list of templates of the current block you will find the Create Template option.
Clicking the Create Template option will open the Template Editor. Consider the following example.
Replacement of PEG tube: Informed consent was obtained for replacement of gastric feeding tube. The patient was in the supine position. Feeding pump was already stopped. After adequate anesthesia with 1% I carefully removed the old peg tube by gentle traction with PEG tip completely intact. The balloon port of a new Medline G-tube was checked and then replaced through the established tract.
In this example the customized parts of the text are in bold font. They can be modified in each subsequent progress note. The rest of the text description of the procedure remains unchanged. Furthermore, for the parts in bold font, a dropdown menu can be created with all possible choices. This can be done in the following way.
You can type up a text or copy and paste. All the dynamic parts of the text should be placed in square brackets ā[...]ā, inside which all choices should be divided with a vertical slash āIā. After your template is complete, it should look like this example:

You can name the template you created if you wish. The title is used only from the list of templates, this allows you to use any names that are convenient for you. If you don't come up with a name, then the first few words of your template will be used for the list of templates. Save your template.
If you arbitrarily enter text inside the block, a drop-down list with relevant templates may appear. Some blocks use .
