Bonuses

The Bonuses tab displays all bonus-related data at the visit level.

How bonuses are created

A record in the Bonuses section appears at the moment a progress note is submitted (signed).

If the visit includes:

  • bonus-eligible procedures, or

  • bonus-eligible visit complexity,

the corresponding bonus amounts are automatically displayed in the relevant columns.

Managing bonuses

An administrator can:

  • change the bonus amount,

  • remove a bonus,

  • assign a bonus again,

by clicking the plus icon (+) in the corresponding column.

Bonus validation and visual indicators

Bonuses are calculated based on the visit details at the time of progress note submission.

  • If the visit complexity is changed after submission, previously calculated bonuses remain unchanged.

  • If the progress note is edited in a way that causes a mismatch between visit details and assigned bonuses, the bonus values in the table are highlighted in red.

  • If bonus-eligible services are added to the progress note after submission, the plus icon (+) is highlighted in red.

These visual indicators help administrators quickly identify visits that require review and ensure bonuses are applied correctly.

Bonus edit restrictions

Each bonus-eligible visit is included in the corresponding provider invoice at the end of the period.

The Invoice Status column shows the current status of the invoice associated with the visit.

Bonuses can be edited only while the invoice status is In Progress . Once the invoice status changes to Approved or Paid , bonuses become locked and cannot be modified.
