The Medical History tab in a patient’s chart contains information that may significantly impact clinical decision-making—for example, entries such as Allergy or Current/Past Medical History/Conditions. Any changes to this type of information must preserve all previous versions, along with details about who made the changes and when.

The Version History tool not only provides access to the full history of changes, but also allows users to revert to any previously saved version.

To view any previous version, click on the corresponding version block. The selected version will open in read-only mode, without the ability to make changes. To return to the current version, click the topmost block in the version list, which represents the latest and active version of the section.

To revert to a previous version, hover over the version block, then hover over the submenu icon (three dots), and click Restore Version in the dropdown menu.
